Pastor's Pen - Nov. + Dec. 2020
Dear Church Family,
Fall is here and winter is on the way! What a great season of the year this is as we anticipate Thanksgiving and of course Christmas. I love this season for many different reasons but most of all because of the wonder of the coming of the Lord. What a year this has been and yet despite all the challenges we have so much to be thankful for. God is good all the time! His mercies endure forever. He has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ! What a joy to love the Lord and serve one another.
I am praying for each family through this time. May the Lord richly encourage and strengthen you. May His grace transform each of us even further into the very image of Christ! I pray that through this season there would be a deep heartfelt gratitude for all He has done!
Some things to note as we move into November and December. Please review the calendar as there are several fellowships and events planned. Pie and Praise is one of those!
We will also be hosting a dinner with the Spanish Church Daniella Glorn has been serving with. What a great opportunity to connect with fellow believers in Christ and prayerfully consider how we can serve the Lord in evangelizing the community together. Living Nativity is also a go for December 4th. We will have live animals and want to share the gospel with those who visit. Let’s be in prayer for these various opportunities to encourage one another as well as share His Word!
I am really thankful to all who have helped so diligently during this Covid season in continuing our ministries. Teachers, thanks so much! Your faithfulness to continue to proclaim the Word through zoom or other tech means as well as at church has been a blessing. For those on various committees and or who have helped around the property a massive thanks to you! There has been a lot of cleaning, cleaning up, decorating and other work that has been done and I want to thank you.
We have put together some Children’s lessons using the new Gospel Project curriculum. Parents can access the materials through our Facebook Family page and or we can send you an email with the links. We will be working on beginning on property Sunday School for the kids by the first Sunday in March. In the meantime, materials will be available. Please let us know if you need help accessing them.
Let’s all continue to be in prayer as the Lord leads us through this time. Many have no hope! Let’s continue to ask the Lord for wisdom in sharing His gospel with those around us.
This season of Thanks for all the blessings of our nation as well as to the Lord for the greatest gift is an amazing time to share the hope we have in Christ with others. As we gather to fellowship, praise the Lord, hear His Word, and pray let’s thank the Lord from our hearts for all He has done! May the Lord bless you and your family. I am praying for you and thank you for your love for the Lord and one another.
