Easter 2020

Spring is in the air and with spring comes Easter, a time for us to reflect on what Christ did for us on the cross and the miracle of His resurrection. Haddon Heights Baptist Church has many special events happening to celebrate this glorious time of year.  The Shepherds Department kicks off our celebration on Palm Sunday, April 5th, with their own rendition of the Easter Story. Our Shepherds have a special way of bringing the love of Christ and the joy of His salvation out in their skits and songs. They will be performing in their classroom at 10:45am.

Good Friday, April 13th, is a solemn but sweet day, for we know Sunday is coming. Our Good Friday service will be held in the Main Auditorium at 6pm. It is a great time to reflect on the abundant grace God bestowed on us when He sent His Son to die for our sins and to participate in the Lord's Supper together.

Saturday afternoon will be our first ever Community Easter Egg Hunt. Crossroads and Quest are thrilled to be able to reach our community with the Gospel through this egg hunt.  On April 11th from 2pm-3pm, we hope to fill the church property with eggs, kids, and a lot of laughter as the kids hunt for eggs and earn prizes. Afterwards, the kids will have the opportunity to hear the Easter story through the use of Resurrection Eggs.

Finally, Easter Sunday will be filled with times to fellowship and celebration together.  The morning starts with our Sunrise Service at 7:30am. We are happy to announce that we will be back in the Haddon Heights Dell this year and look forward to using their beautiful new facilities. After the service, there will be a Fellowship Breakfast at the church at 9am.  All are welcome to join! This all leads up to our Adult Choir's Easter Concert, "Is He Worthy?".

The 2020 Easter cantata, “Is He Worthy,” will be presented by the adult choir and orchestra.  We will remember, reflect, and ponder the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ as the choir leads us on the journey to the cross. The choir and orchestra will present hymns and worship songs proclaiming that Jesus is worthy of all blessing, honor, and glory. We will sing together of the Lamb who was slain and has redeemed us to God by His blood. He alone is holy. When we needed a Lamb to atone for our sins, He alone could do it. ☘️
